Ananth Kumar (born July 22, 1959) is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata party. Since 1996, it is the district of Bengaluru South Lok Sabha. AnanthKumar is responsible for two key ministries: he has been the Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers since May 2014.
Politics
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parisad was a member of his student group. During the emergency, he was jailed with thousands of other activists by the Indira Gandhi government. He was elected Secretary of State of the ABVP and became its National Secretary in 1985. He joined the BJP and was named President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
