Kaliabor Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam state in north-eastern India. The constituency was established in 1967 and has no reservation. It is composed of 10 assembly segments, including Dhing, Batadroba, Rupohihat, Samaguri, Kaliabor, Bokakhat, Sarupathar, Golaghat, Khumtai, and Dergaon. The current incumbent is Gaurav Gogoi from the Indian National Congress party, who won the 2019 election with a margin of 2,09994 votes.
According to a JSTOR article, electoral politics in Assam during the 1990s was dominated by regional parties such as the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the United Minorities Front (UMF). In recent years, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also gained popularity and has been able to present an effective challenge to these regional forces.
